Such a fun design!
Another project finished just the way I wanted. I guess I really do have a good eye for lighting. Definitely a thumbs up!
Seeing it from the side was what finally sold me on it. The photos made it look flatter than it actually is.
For actual bright room lighting, I still use our recessed lights. I think of this more as the light we turn on when we want the room to feel relaxed.
The tiny LEDs are what make this special for me. A regular bulb in the middle would completely change the feeling.
At dusk, before the room is completely dark, all those tiny points of light start to show up one by one. That's my favorite time to have it on.
What surprised me most is how little visual weight it has during the day. You can see right through the metal lines, so it never feels like a big object hanging in the middle of the room.
Every time I come down the stairs at night, the little lights remind me of a constellation. Not what I normally say about a chandelier, but that's honestly what it looks like.
By itself the metal frame is much more understated than I imagined. Once it's lit, though, the whole shape becomes easier to see.
Late at night, when the rest of the downstairs is dark, you can still see those tiny warm lights from the second floor. Really beautiful sight.

Looking up from directly underneath is probably the coolest angle. The metal lines seem to keep crossing over each other forever.
Even my taste changed a little after getting this. I usually go for very solid, simple fixtures, but now I understand the appeal of something more open like this.

My favorite detail isn't the overall shape. It's the way individual points of light seem to appear between the metal lines.
From the upstairs landing, this is probably the best-looking light in our house. The oval shape makes much more sense when you can see it from above.
